I gave the half-iron distance another shot this past weekend at Rev3 Anderson and came away with fifth. The highlight of the day was seeing some good numbers on the bike and getting away with a select group near the end of the ride. However, seeing the times that Starky and Collins rode…I still have lots of work to do! Out of T2 Richie and Terenzo were a few meters up the road to start out. I was slowly whittling away at the gap until Terenzo started up the pace making and the gap exploded (and a few miles later, so did I). With one more race this season – Rev3 Florida on Oct. 28 – I’m hoping to turn in a solid all-around performance at the half distance.
